Photography is nothing more than the juxtapositioning of light and form. Most of us see a portfolio like this and think we could do that, but a true photographer sees the colors and shapes you have presented so magnificently. Bravo!
Penpal, thank you for your flattering perspective. Like a little fairy girl dancing and twirling on the dewy lawn at daybreak, this wee portfolio represents some great joy with the camera in the hush of dawn before the rest of the island awoke. I was having so much fun I hardly noticed the light and form, much less their juxtaposition. May your summer be filled with joyful fulfillment!

Wow that sun placement!
I got lucky not walking off the pier to get some of those shots…thank you, Reaching Joy. Happy summer!

Gorgeous photos. That sunset, the sky looks hazy. Do you have fires burning down there? Love the frog! ❤

Thank you, Ms. Diana. Little froggy wanted to go for a swim and couldn’t find his way out, it seemed. The intense humidity down here creates the smoke-like haze at times. Our temps are 95F by day, 75F by night right now, and all this steamy water makes it mighty muggy if there’s not enough of a sea breeze. Enjoy your (cooler) summer!

What a lovely place you live in.
It is indeed a slice of Heaven, Mrs. Betsy. I hope your summer is full of blessings, as well.
