The Southern Sea Muse is one of those compulsive writers who is recklessly inspired by all facets of life while blissfully intoxicated by sweet sea breezes. A dangerous combination, to be sure.
Beach enthusiast, child therapist, fitness fanatic, writer, photographer, snorkeler, blogger, God-seeker…not necessarily in that order.
You are officially invited to eavesdrop on my conversations with God. So come pull up a beach chair along side of me and sit a spell as we ponder, relax, refresh and recharge together.
I always love photos of sand and sea!
Thank you, Mary, for joining me on my beach! I’m so happy to have you along 🙂

Hi! You seriously have the coolest blog name I’ve ever come across here in the past 2 years! I love it! Love your blog. Looking forward to reading your posts. You sound like a fantastic person and mother. I love the sea too. Even though I was born in Brazil, I still consider myself a beach girl. Something about the salt air, ocean lullaby and peace. I think you understand what I’m saying. 🙂 Greetings from New Jersey.
What kind sentiments, Java Girl – thank you so very much! You captured my sea-passion perfectly. Jersey has some great beaches, but I’m glad you’ve joined me here on this one…I saved you a chair.

Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my post. I enjoyed reading yours and really like your photos!
Thanks, Paula – I admire your work.
~~ssm
I’m gonna love it over here. I’m a beach lover and therapist myself – I am a seeker of the truth in all things, too. (Sometimes I have to turn things inside out to find the truth but that’s half the fun.)
Lisa
Absolutely – and somehow that process seems even more fun with toes in the sand! So glad you’re here.
~~ssm
Thanks so much for the Festivus gift! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
L & L
My pleasure, L&L! I am enjoying your incredible posts.

Thank you so much, allthingsboys! I appreciate this honor.

Hmmmm. We are both clinical therapists. That makes four bloggers now, Lea who moved to France from California, and Relaxing Cooking who lives maybe in Spain, Italy….not sure!
Love your blog!
Indeed! Thank you very much, Ms. Cindy. Always fun to connect with kindred spirits.

Hi Southern Sea, I too have just nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award. I had no idea you already had these in your trophy case. Keep up the good work!
Why, thank you so much, 3D! I am doubly honored, and as a runner with asthma, was thrilled to visit your archives to read your efforts to clear up the lung situation in the world.

Its my honor to clean up things in our world Ms. Sea Muse! What else needs taken care of?
I invented an award (yeah, I’m cool like that)…that while in it’s infancy appears to be meager, but once it takes over the world…well, it will probably still be meager. Anyway, it’s just my way of saying I like what you’re up to. You can just accept it if you want, no strings attached…a.k.a. you don’t have to write a post about it, just stick it with your other awards. You can pick it up here: http://lora-banks.com/the-blogtastic-blog-award/
Hello friend! I nominated you for a couple of awards, before i noticed you already had one of them. Your awards, should you chose to accept them…can be found here http://lora-banks.com/2012/06/09/thank-you-for-reading-my-multi-award-winning-blog/
You’re awesome.
Thank you so very much, Mrs. Lora! That is so kind of you. I gratefully accept…

You have some very unique blog awards. It’s nice seeing some other than the norm. The Golden Shatner Award? Really? I want one! That’s too great. There ought to be a Nemoy Award too, though. Thanks for visiting my blog. Please come again. 🙂
(http://parentingisfunny.wordpress.com)
Thank you very much, Ms. Betsy. I will see about a Nemoy award – I agree the blogosphere is lacking in that department. However, the Golden Shatner was intended for any who covet it – it is yours!! Congratulations!

Fellow beach/ocean enthusiast and mother of four-nothing like it!
I have a heart for kids, too-used to work with kids with Special Needs and I loved it! May the LORD continue to use you to help these precious ones trust again.
You’re a wonderful photographer…
Blessings,
Dulcinea
Thank you, hodgepodge…may the Lord use us and all others who love Him, to trust in Him fully.

Thanks for stopping by and liking my post! I am glad I came to yours – I can smell the ocean’s spray and sand all the way from Colorado! 🙂
So happy to share, Ms. Debbie! I enjoy your positive posts. You can bring your Rocky Mt. air down here anytime – mixes great with sea spray!

As I read, I actually felt my shoulders drop a notch from where they’d been crunched up around my ears. Oh, how I miss the beach and the clarity of mind. Love your blog. Thanks for the honesty. It’s refreshing.
You’re so very welcome, Ms. Melissa. Happy to provide a little gravity for your shoulders. Keep breathing deeply…

Hello Southern Sea Muse, I nominated you for the You Are My Shine Award. 🙂
http://literarytiger.wordpress.com/2012/03/31/you-are-my-sunshine-award/
Why, thank you so much, Literary Tiger! I am humbly honored. Blessings…

I would just LOVE to sit on the beach and muse with you. We could find many things to talk about, I’m sure. (But which beach?) How did you lure an Eskimo away from his igloo?
By the way, thanks for the ‘LIKE’. If you’re a therapist you likely get frazzled children of mothers like I wrote about–and worse. Heartbreaking!
He was beached long before I…a good story line for a future blog, to be sure. Yes, frazzled children are my specialty, which is what drew me to your post. Thank you for pulling up a beach chair with me, Ms. Christine!
~~ssm
So glad you visited and posted on my page. I’m looking forward to reading more here!
Thanks, Ms. Jodi, likewise…and welcome to this stretch of the beach!
~~ssm
What a lovely introduction. I will stay tuned for more posts from you. 🙂
Thank you, literary tiger! Love your book reviews.
~~ssm
Oh, I wonder how we can pull out the story of how a southern belle (I assume) met and married an Eskimo who hates the cold! That is intriguing.
That would make for a very, very long post, I’m afraid! I’ll have to work on the novel 🙂
~~ssm
Beautifully penned about page. I have been inspired so far an so blessed you stopped by my corner of the blogosphere. Looking forward to following your poetic ponderings!
Thank you, Ms. Heather…I appreciate your journey on your blog!

Love your About page…you commented on my blog a couple of days ago and I wanted to come and check out your site as well! I am proud to say I am now a member…a follower. Look forward to reading more…when time allows.
Thank you very much…and I am a follower of yours, as well. I understand the concept of time allowing…time is so much more precious with special angels.
I’m glad Observant Mind led me here. Great to meet you!
So pleased to meet you and your blog, too! Thank you for sharing some beach time with me.
Thank you! I can understand keeping your secret spot private 😉 I enjoyed yours, too. You’re on my RSS feeder.
Which beach are you at?
Undisclosed location 🙂 Very much enjoy your blog! We have much in common.
One of the best “About the Author” pages I have read in ages… 🙂
Thanks, Mark…I am an avid follower of your posts. What goes around, comes around, and your wisdom gets recycled into what I am able to give to others. You give courage and motivation to many you’ll never know…
Beautifully poetic ramblings though a bit hard to read at times for a commoner like me. I did almost get addicted to your poetic style though. Keep up the great work and never give up on people, God doesn’t!
So true! On all counts…yes, I am certainly full of it :)(rambler I am), but will never give up on people. Thank you for your feedback~~
ok. like. 🙂
blessings

Beautiful writing..
Thank you so much…I am enjoying your blog, as well.
